FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

IS ALL OF YOUR ARTWORK ORIGINAL OR DO YOU MAKE DUPLICATES?

All of my art pieces are originals because it makes it that much more special and unique.  There have been a handful of times I have duplicated some drawings, but it is very rare.  I can have duplicate prints made of some paintings or if there is a sold out painting you like, you can request to commission a painting that I can replicate as closely as possible.

HOW CAN I COMMISSION AN ARTWORK?

Please message me directly to inquire about commissioning my artwork. CLICK HERE

HOW WILL MY ARTWORK BE DELIVERED?

For those located near my studio in San Jose, California, you are welcomed and encouraged to pick up your artwork in my studio.  Please note you will have to make arrangements with me directly to schedule a time to pick up.  Please do not show up to my studio unannounced and without an agreed appointment.

For those who are unable to pick up their artwork directly, I offer direct shipping for an added fee.

I will not ship a painting until it is fully cured.  All artwork is wrapped in paper, padded extremely well, and sent in a well-fitting sturdy cardboard box.  Most artwork will ship via USPS or UPS, and most packages arrive within 2-4 days (domestic) from the time of shipping.  (Includes tracking & insurance).

International shipments will be sent via USPS or other (depending on location).  Please note that shipping charges for international packages vary based on location.

For artwork larger than 50 inches you will have the option to for your artwork to be shipped un-stretched and rolled safely in a sturdy tube or as-is.  Please note, if your artwork is shipped un-stretched, you will have to have someone build the support bars and re-stretch the canvas. This is typically a much cheaper than having your larger painting shipped as is. If you prefer to ship your large painting fully stretched on canvas, I will use a freight service to expertly handle the painting for delivery directly to you but it can cost around $300-$500.

MY ARTWORK ARRIVED DAMAGED OR WAS NOT DELIVERED OR WAS LOST OR WAS STOLEN FROM MY DOORSTEP?

I am not liable for any mishandling or failed delivery by the shipping service, and am not liable for any damage incurred post-shipping.  I work hard to package each order with care in sturdy flat mailers and tubes so that is arrives undamaged, and suggest you handle your new artwork with care when framing and stretching. Please be kind when reaching out and remember I do not run the shipping services, and have no control over the treatment of your package in transit.

That being said, this is typically how I handle situations that fall outside my control:

DAMAGED PRINT:  If your art is damaged in transit I am happy to handle this on a case by case basis with individual collectors who are able to provide details and documentation of the damage.  Creasing and bends can be flattened. Collectors may be asked to file a claim with the shipping service.  If the order is a complete loss, I ask that you return the art to the studio., either in the original packaging or in a sturdy packaging purchased at your local post office.  I am unable to replace for free any art damaged after delivery, so please place your artwork in a place away from possible water or heat damage and handle the artwork with care when framing and stretching.

NOT DELIVERED/LOST/STOLEN: If your package s marked "DELIVERED" and yet is nowhere to be found on your doorstep, please first check your confirmation email to ensure that you input the correct shipping address.  If the address is correct and you believe your package to have been lost, stolen, or if you missed the delivery, you must contact the shipping service personally. Unfortunately, there isn't anything I can do on my end, so I am unable to address any failed delivery or theft issues directly - which is why I insure the package being shipped.  If a package is unable to be delivered, and is returned to my studio, I am happy to reship, but ask that you pay for the additional postage. I am unable to redo any order for free that has not been delivered, lost or stolen.

DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS?

All original artwork are final sale. I am more than happy to exchange a print for you, but please be prepared to pay for the price difference and shipping.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE AN ARTWORK?

Please open and check your artwork immediately upon receiving.  I will accept exchanges within 7 days or receipt. If you do not reach out within 7 days, I will be unable to make the exchange, so please be prompt.

I ORDERED A PAINTING BUT I'M UNSATISFIED WITH THE COLORS NOW THAT IT IS IN MY SPACE. WHAT DO I DO?

Please take the time to read descriptions carefully and check the colors on multiple screens if you are concerned about color variations. I try my best to represent the colors and tones in my work honestly and clearly. I am happy to exhange your print for another that will work better in your space.

ARE YOU CURRENTLY OFFERING ANY CLASSES?

I do not have any classes planned at the moment. However, please check back soon or sign up for my mailing list to receive updates on when classes become available.

WHO ACTUALLY OWNS THE ARTWORK?

I retain all rights to all artwork I create.  This includes the rights to the images of sold & commissioned original paintings. I retain the right to make reproductions of any and all artwork I create unless the collector has purchased the full or partial rights to the artwork (this in addition to purchasing the original).

The collector or buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without prior written permission from me, the artist.

If the artwork ends up being reproduced in a magazine or other media, I only ask for the credit.
